Sasha and Edna had a Japanese dance lesson with children today. They enjoyed dancing together well like this!
今日は、幼稚園で子どもたちと一緒に日舞を勉強して、最後にみんなで踊りました。
Sasha and Edna spent the afternoon exploring the Asakusa areas in Tokyo. In front of Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) at Sensoji temple, many tourists want their picture taken or take a picture of when showing people that you’ve been to Asakusa. So did they!
今日は午後から浅草見学でした。雷門の前で写真を撮るのは、観光客の定番のスポットのようです。2人もそうしていました!
They walked along the Nakamise shopping street and tried out Ningyou-yaki which is doll-shaped pancake filled with sweet red bean jam. It is one of the most famous Tokyo confectionery. Sasha and Edna seemed to like it!

Chinowa-kuguri (passing through the circle of thatch) is a traditional seasonal ritual wishing to be in good health by passing through the big circle made of tall grass (thatch). If you pass through this circle of thatch, you will be free from illness and overcome the heat of summer. So now they are ready for hot and humid summer weather!
浅草神社で茅の輪くぐりをして身を清めました。茅の輪をくぐると無事に夏の暑さを乗り越え、元気に何事もなく、無病息災を願うと言われています。これで暑い夏も乗り切れそうですね!
