They participated in one of extracurricular activities, the tea ceremony and flower arrangement club. The tea ceremony, called sado “the way of tea” in Japanese, is one of the country’s best known cultural traditions While the many small rituals and complex customs may seem a little daunting for Cabrillo students, Bunkyo students showed them how to get started in just a few easy steps. They looked so serious!
今日の最後は、夕方から茶華道部の活動に参加したことでした。日本の伝統文化の一つですが、茶道は、複雑な所作を完璧にやろうとすると難しそうで、二人とも真剣な表情でした。文京の学生が、簡単なステップに分けて教えてくれていました。
