Mimi and Spencer had participated in the children’s extracurricular activity supervised by Spencer’s host father before they met new families this morning.
１週間お世話になったホストファミリーが、今日から二人とも変わりました。その前に、子どもたちを集めて行われた活動（まるびいの森）に参加しました。
Mimi met a new family, the Kitahara family with three children.
こちらの写真はミミの新しいホストファミリー、北原家とのご対面場面です。
Mimi spent this weekend with her family. At home, she had fun playing uno with her host father, sister, and brother. Also her host sister taught her how to fold origami paper. Origami paper crane is very popular, but this photo shows that they were making origami balloon, I wonder.
ミミは、今日から４日間この家族と一緒に過ごします。早速、家に帰って家族でウノをやって楽しんだり、ホストシスターに折り紙を教えてもらっているようです。この写真では、何を折っているかがよくわかりませんが、ふうせんでしょうか？
Spencer met his second host family, the Tsuchida family, today as well. The family took him to Kawagoe for lunch. He loved tempura and grilled fish!
スペンサーも、今日から新しい家族、土田家に変わりました。今日は、家族に、川越に連れて行ってもらったようです。お昼に、てんぷらや焼き魚を、おいしく平らげたようです。
After lunch, they also walked and ate in Kawagoe. They had freshly roasted crispy and tasty senbei rice crackers and dango sweet rice dumplings.
その後、川越の町の食べ歩きをしました。まだ温かい、出来たての煎餅を食べたり団子を食べたりしました。
Finally, they went to a Kaiten-Sushi, conveyor belt sushi which has a variety of dishes such as curry, ramen, dessert, and more. Spencer tried Japanese shaved ice dessert for the first time. He chose Ujikintoki flavor which is using green tea syrup and adding sweetened azuki red beans for the topping. What was it like?
夕食は回転寿司へ。スペンサーは、デザートに日本のかき氷を初めて食べました。抹茶と小豆が好きだということで、宇治金時を選んで食べていました。お味はいかが？
