They were in front of Kaminari-mon (Thunder gate) with these students. It is the entrance gate to Asakusa’s famous Sensoji Temple. The gate is under repair now, so only the central part of the gate was visible, the large red paper lantern which is an iconic symbol of Asakusa behind them.
今日は、３人の学生が一緒に観光を楽しんでくれました。雷門の大提灯前での写真ですが、今年は雷門は修理中のため全体の写真が取れなかったのは残念でした。

Instead of the whole photo of the Kaminarimon Gate, this was taken in front of Hozomon Gate, the second big gate closest to Sensoji Temple.
その代わりに、本堂に近い浅草寺では２番目に大きな宝蔵門前で撮った全員集合の写真です。

Yovania and Anabel were passing through a hoop made of Kaya grass to pray for good health and good luck. It was believed that the strong vitality of Kaya grass had the mysterious power of preventing disasters.
浅草神社の茅の輪くぐりをして、今年も無病息災を願いました。

They also enjoyed shopping in downtown Tokyo. According to the weather forecast, typhoon 3 was approaching toward Kanto area this evening, so they all went back home safely before the typhoon hit the region.
この日は、この後関東には台風が急速に近づいているという予報が出ていたため、この後に少しショッピングをして、無事帰宅できてよかったです。
