今日、20歳の誕生日を迎えた学生に、この場所でサプライズバースデーケーキが送られました。忘れられない誕生日になったのではないでしょうか！

When we were leaving this building, some students got together and did something secretly. Soon a birthday cake came out of the group!  Then a birthday girl had to blow out the two candles saying 20 on her birthday cake!  Happy birthday to Sae, everyone said!

今日の最後の英語のクラスでは、来週の部分実習で使う英語をシェリーに見てもらって、みんなの前で発表することでした。皆さんが子どもたちの前で自信をもって言えるようになるには、もっともっと練習が必要ですね！　紙を読んでいるのでは、子どもの表情が見えなくて、何をやりたいのか伝わりにくいですよね。

Sherrie was busy checking words and phrases the students used for their internship activities. It seemed very time-consuming because they had not been very well-prepared to perform their activities!  They have to do a lot of practice!  The clock is ticking on their projects!

シェリーに、今年もたくさん大事な英語を教えてもらいました。それを自分のものにするためには、どんどん使って慣れていくしかないのです。まずは、来週の実習で子どもたちに、その成果をどのくらい発揮できるかですね。しかし、大事なことは継続することですから、日本に帰ってからも英語の練習は続けましょう！

Thanks to Sherrie, the students learned so many important things in English for their future careers. It’s a good thing that they even try to speak to me in English, if not all the time, and ask more questions. Curiosity and the courage to ask questions are essential to learning. Keep it going!
