ここからは、Simcha（シムカと読み、「楽しむ」という意味のヘブライ語）Preschoolに行った４人の実習を紹介します。この２人は、toddler（幼児前期）クラスに飛び入りとなったようです。「お人形さんのような子ばかりで、連れて帰りたいくらい！」と言っていました。

Four students went to Simcha Preschool. These two were supposed to go to the class for three-year olds but they were asked to be in this toddler room today.  “ Toddlers look just like dolls and we wish we could take them back to Japan,” they said.

このクラスはランチの時間となり、学生も一緒に持ってきたランチを食べていました。この学生の隣の子のお母さんは日本人で、とてもかわいい「俵おむすび」が入っていて、おいしそうでしたね！　他にも異なる文化を持っている子どもたちが来ているようで、ランチにもその文化がでてくるみたいです。

In the Pre-K class, the students were about to have lunch with the children. The girl sitting next to this student had a lunch box containing small barrel-shaped rice balls. They looked so delicious and cute!  Children bring a wide variety of culture and foods.

ここのテーブルのランチも色とりどりで、おやつのようにも見えますが、一人の子に何が入っているのかを聞いてみると「ハンバーガー、ヨーグルトソース、スライスしたリンゴとミニトマト」と教えてくれました。

In this table, the children were curious about the brown bag this student had. Their lunches looked like snacks but in fact they seemed to have a lot of veggies and fruits. One boy told us that he had hamburger, yogurt, slices of apple, and tomatoes.
