それでも、みんな最後の方にはずいぶん打ち解けた感じに見えました。楽しかったですね。最後までいてくれたカブリヨの日本語受講生の方々に感謝いたします。
At the end of the party, we all got to know each other and had a great time as seen in this photo. Cabrillo students and Kayawaki-sensei who teaches them Japanese, thank you very much for coming.

お腹もいっぱいになったところで、少し運動です。去年同様、前学生課のディレクター、Sesarioがボランティアでキャンパスツアーのガイドをしてくれました。広い構内の中からこのプログラムで学生たちが知っている必要がある教室を中心に、丘の上り下りをしながら回ってきました。時差ボケも吹き飛んだのではないでしょうか。
After lunch may be their best time to exercise! Sesario, former dean of student affairs, took us around the campus, showing some classrooms that the students need to know. We had to walk up and down hills on one side of the campus and it helped overcome jet lag!

この学生たちはさっそくもらったサングラスをかけていますが、とても役にたっていましたね。それほど日差しが強くて、UVカットのサングラスはここでは必需品のようです！ でも、雨の日よりずっといいですよね。
These students were wearing sunglasses they just got from the goody bags. They are really helpful. The sunlight that hits here is really strong, and there’s lots of it. But don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining and we all like sunny day, not rainy day like yesterday!

ツアーの終わりはブックストアーに立ち寄り、こちらは大学からのギフトとして学生たちに、好きな色のパーカーが一人一人に贈られました。みんな大感激です！ 早くパーカーを買わなくてよかった！
At the end of the campus tour, they all got Cabrillo pullover hoodies which are gifts from Cabrillo College. The hoodies come in 6 colors and 3 sizes. They became serious shoppers who had to choose the right one for them!
