【2016年 海外短期フィールドワーク 児童発達学科 報告13-5】
■ Cabrillo College（アメリカ カリフォルニア州 サンタクルーズ） で、3/13〜3/28までの海外短期フィールドワークです。

この二人もやっと言い終えたところです。お母さんのフランシスはいつもこのようにお花をくれます。持って帰れないのですが、気持ちの表し方の一つですね。昨日の夜はみんなで今日のためにカップケーキを作って、持って来てくれました。
These two also were moved to tears after saying many things Frances did for them. But they were happy to receive a bouquet of flowers. They cannot bring them back to Japan, but this is a symbol of her love to these students. Last night, the students helped Frances make a lot of cupcakes for today’s ceremony.

「旅立ちの日に」と「小さな世界」を披露しました。今日の練習の成果があったようです。会場の反応もよかったですよ！来年は「旅立ちの日に」の英語訳を会場に配るのがいいかもしれませんね。
最後の部分だけでも、
「今 別れの時 飛び立とう 未来信じて はずむ 若い力 信じて この広い この広い 大空に」
They sang two songs, “Tabidachi no hi ni” (To the day we depart), which is the most popular graduation song, and “It’s a small word.”
The translation of the “Tabidachi no hi ni” may be handed out next year.
For example, the last stanza repeated is:
Now, it may be our time to part
But our future is just beginning to take flight, believe in this
Believe that we can make a difference
In this boundless sky above

最後に、けんさんとジンスさんへもみんなで寄せ書きをした色紙が渡されて、感謝の気持ちを伝えました。
Thank you for being the go-between for the students and their families, Ken and Jinsu.
The students wrote their appreciation on the card in Japanese and gave it to them.

無事修了式も終了です。明日は最後の日を家族と思い思いに過ごします。スーツケースのパッキングを忘れずに！
The ceremony was over. Thank you all! The students will enjoy spending their last day with the families tomorrow. Be sure to pack your suitcase before sleeping tomorrow!

学生からの最後の写真が送られてきました。帰る前にアップできてよかった！
彼の自転車を他の学生たちも試してみたかったようですが、サドルが高すぎて誰も乗れませんでした！
この自転車を使ってカブリヨ大学までずっと行き来してました！（Hiroki）
This is the last photo sent by the student. Other students wanted to try to ride his bike but the saddle was so high that nobody rode it!
I rode this bike to go to Cabrillo and come back home every day. (Hiroki)
