午前中は、マービスタ小学校見学の日でした。この写真は、小学校前で集合した１０名が残りの学生を待っているところです。
Ten students were at the meeting place while waiting for the rest of the students. We all visited Mar Vista Elementary School this morning.

ここ最近は朝ご飯を学校で食べる日という特別な日にちょうど当たることが多いのですが、今回もその日でパジャマを着て学校に来ていい日でした。校長先生もパジャマを着ていて、「いつもパジャマを着ていると思わないでほしい」と学生たちに確認をしていました。
Today is a special breakfast day where anyone can wear a pajama to school. So did the principal! He told us not to think that he always wears a pajama at school.

学校見学は２つのグループに分かれて行われました。このグループは、来週の月火に実習に来る学生を担任の先生に紹介しながら、見学をしました。この写真は、キンダークラスに立ち寄った時のものです。
The students were divided into two groups for a school tour. This group visited kindergarten classes to say hello. Four students will come to the kinder classes for their internship next Monday and Tuesday.

来週の実習には２つの１年生のクラスも入っています。写真は、１年生担任のMr. Pと呼ばれている先生のクラスで、先生のアコーディオンに合わせて子どもたちがリコーダー演奏で歓迎してくれました。
We also visited the first grade classes. Mr. P, a first grade teacher, always welcomes us playing the accordion with his students playing the recorder.

休み時間には子どもたちと交流できるのが楽しいですね。毎年やってくる私たちに、日本語で「こんにちは」と挨拶をしてくれる学生もいました。文京の学生たちは「かわいい」を連発です！
At the recess, Bunkyo students enjoyed interacting with the students at Mar Vista. Some students greeted us in Japanese like “Konnichiwa” (Hello/Good day). “They are so cute and cool,” our students kept shouting!

こちらのコーナーでは、仲良くお昼ご飯を食べようとしています。みんな笑顔がいいですね。
At this corner, all students including Bunkyo Students were smiling and ready to have lunch.
