今日はリンズコット小学校に行った学生の様子を紹介します。
ここはハミングバードと呼ばれている一番低学年のキンダークラスです。午前中しかありません。今日はあいにくの雨で休み時間に外遊びができない状況で、エネルギーが充満しているようでした。
Today I’ll show you how the students at Linscott Charter School were doing.
This is the Hummingbird class for kindergarteners. Unfortunately, it was rainy this morning, so children were not able to go out to play at recess. They had a lot of energy in their playing inside.

外遊びができないため、少しスケジュールを変更して、結構長い時間をかけてこのような一斉授業が行われているようでした。いろんなタイプの動物のぬいぐるみを使って、動物の特徴を話し合っていました。
At the circle time, they were learning some animals. The children shared their ideas with other children and their teacher in the classroom.

こちらは、1年生のハートルームと呼ばれているクラスです。お金の数え方を教えていました。1セントが5枚でニッコル（5セント）、10枚でダイム（10セント）、25枚でクゥーター（25セント）などが歌を歌いながら紹介されていて、文京の学生にとってもコインの呼び名を知るいい機会でした。
This is the Heart Room for 1st graders. They were practicing counting money. This was just good for our students to know all the US coins.
