【2018年 海外短期フィールドワーク 児童発達学科 報告05-3】

こちらのグループでは、日本語のかるたをやっていました。カブリヨの学生たちはひらがな、カタカナを初級から学んでいるので、よくできている学生は多かったようですね。競って多くとりたいと思うのが面白いのでしょうね。
In this group, they were playing a Karuta game in which players race to grab cards associated with a given reading. The winner is the player who has the most cards. Cabrillo students know Hiragana (Japanese pronunciation) well so they did it well.

このクラスで、とても楽しいひと時を過ごさせてもらいました。最後に、学生たちはコンタクトを取るための情報交換をしていたようです。皆さん、いい時間をありがとうございました。
We all enjoyed participating in this Japanese class. At the end, the students from Cabrillo and Bunkyo exchanged their contact information. Thank you all for having us in this class.

その後は、今日の最後の活動である造形のクラスに行きました。そこでは、銅板からペンダントを作りました。ドーン先生のクラスの学生さんたちが手伝ってくれて、感謝ですね。
We moved to the 3-D art building to do our last event, jewelry making. The students made pendants like these with a lot of help of Dawn’s class students.

その他にも、雑誌からデザインを切り取り、ピンも作らせてもらいました。２つも作った学生がいたようです。みんな真剣ですね！
They also cut magazine images to make buttons or pins. Some made a couple of them beautifully!

自分だけのアクセサリーを作るのは貴重な体験でした。このクラスの皆さんに協力していいただいたおかげで、みんな満足のいく出来上がりとなりました。それからケーキや飲み物も用意してもらい、最後にお土産までいただいて、本当にありがとうございました。
Thank you all for helping us making pendants and buttons and providing snacks and refreshments! We all had a great time making our own jewelry!
