The first day at Fujimino kindergarten. Children in a rabbit class decided who was “it” first and started playing freeze tag (氷おに) with Melissa. The boy told her that the person wearing a blue cap was “it”. Children all over the world play this version of tag! They kept playing until she collapsed in exhaustion! You did a good job, Melissa!

In the circle time, the children were singing Do-Re-Mi by the Sound of Music and a Rock-Scissors-Paper song.

Children in a squirrel class were playing in sand with Mireya. Sand is such a great sensory toy for kids.

There is a potato field in the back yard. The children got lots of potatoes today.

All the 5-year-olds gathered together in the multi-purpose room before lunch time. Then Melissa and Mireya were officially introduced by saying who they were and where they were from. They also sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in both English and Japanese together.
