Studying abroad has been a unique experience. Bunkyo Gakuin and the GSI office made sure we were all taken care of and looked after. In the first months of the program, almost every week we would have something scheduled, which was a little bit exhausting but overall a great experience and all of the students were having fun. All of the international students grew really close and friendly over a few months. We would frequently go out to explore or visit places we really liked. Tokyo is, in my opinion, one of the greatest cities in the world, full of possibilities…and most of all, people. There are A LOT of people here. It was a bit of a culture shock. I had to communicate with them somehow and my Japanese wasn’t that great. It has definitely gotten better though, thanks to my patient and understanding teachers.
